ملخص:
هدفت الدراسة بيان ملامح الاستشراق التي تشکلت بعد أحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر، ليسهل فهمها، والتعامل معها، وتحديد المواقف تجاه المنتوج الاستشراقي. ويصاحب توضيح تلک الملامح نقد علمي لتلک الملامح.  يتبنى الباحث المنهج الوصفي لتوضيح ملامح الظاهرة الاستشراقية، والمنهج النقدي لنقد ملامح الظاهرة الاستشراقية بعد أحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر. ترکزت دراسة الملامح للظاهرة الاستشراقية بصورة أکبر على الاستشراق الأمريکي، وذلک لوقوع الأحداث في محيطها الجغرافي، ولقيادة الاستشراق الأمريکي لغيره من أنواع الاستشراق الغربي. اشتمل النقد الموجه للملامح على نقد المناهج والمواقف المعبرة عنها. أدرجت في الحاشية تعريفًا لکل مستشرق أو مهتم بدراسات الشرق الأوسط ورد اسمه في متن البحث. وأبرز ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج: مرت الظاهرة الاستشراقية بحرکة نقد کبيرة في التاريخ الحديث، أکدت نتائج البحوث لکثير من العلماء المسلمين الذين رفعوا لواء الرد على المستشرقين القدماء. الظاهرة الاستشراقية تمثل فرصة جيدة للمراجعة الفکر الإسلامي، وتقويمه، وتنقيحه. مازال الارتباط بين الاستشراق والدوائر السياسية سائدًا إلى الآن في الظاهرة الاستشراقية. عدم دقة کثير من تنبؤات المستشرقين حول الشرق المسلم. دراسة الظاهرة الإستشراقية في العصر الحالي يسهم في تفسير کثير من الممارسات السياسية والعسکرية والاقتصادية للقوى الغربية تجاه الشرق المسلم. من أبرز ملامح الاستشراق بعد أحداث الحادي عشر من سبتمبر تبني الدوائر السياسية لنتائج بحوث المستشرقين المعاصرين، ودمجها في القرارات العسکرية والأمنية.

Features of Orientalism after the events of September 11: A critical reading

Abstract:
The study aimed to show the features of Orientalism that were formed after the events of September 11th, to make it easier to understand and deal with them, and to determine the attitudes towards the Orientalist product. The clarification of these features is accompanied by a scientific criticism of these features. The researcher adopts the descriptive approach to clarify the features of the Orientalist phenomenon, and the critical method to criticize the features of the Orientalist phenomenon after the events of September 11th. The study of the features of the Orientalist phenomenon focused more on American Orientalism, due to the occurrence of events in its geographical surroundings, and American Orientalism's leadership in other types of Western Orientalism. The criticism of the features included criticism of the curricula and the attitudes expressed about them. I included in the footnote a definition of each orientalist or interested in Middle Eastern studies whose name was mentioned in the body of the research. The most prominent findings of the study are: The Orientalist phenomenon has undergone a major criticism movement in modern history, which confirmed the research results of many Muslim scholars who raised the banner of response to the ancient Orientalists. The Orientalist phenomenon represents a good opportunity to review, evaluate, and refine Islamic thought. The link between Orientalism and political circles is still prevalent in the Orientalist phenomenon. The inaccuracy of many orientalists' predictions about the Muslim East. The study of the Oriental phenomenon in the current era contributes to the interpretation of many of the political, military and economic practices of the Western powers towards the Muslim East. One of the most prominent features of Orientalism after the events of September 11th is the adoption by the political circles of the results of contemporary Orientalists’ research, and their incorporation into military and security decisions.
