ملخص البحث:
الصلاة عماد الدين، اتفقت على ذلك مذاهب المسلمين. ولعظمها وخطرها فقد اختلف الفقهاء في حكم تاركها أينسبُ إلى الإسلام أم الكفر. وإن تركها عمداً ما عقوبته المستحقة. وقد تباينت آراء الفقهاء في هاتين المسألتين، وإنني سأقوم بتوضيح ذلك الاختلاف والأدلة النقلية والعقلية التي استند إليه كل قول.
ويتناول البحث قضيتين مهمتين تتعلق إحداهما بإيمان تارك الصلاة من عدمه، أما المسألة الثانية فتتعلق بعقوبته والتي وصل بها بعض المذاهب إلى قتله ردةً أو حداً؛ فمن هنا تأتي ضرورة النظر في هذه المذاهب وأدلة كل منها وترجيح الأصوب منها وفقا لقواعد الترجيح المعتبرة.

Abstract :
prayer is the pillar of religion, and all of Muslims schools have agreed on that. And due to its greatness, the jurists differed in the ruling of the one who abandon it, whether it is attributed to Islam or infidelity. And if he intentionally abandoned it, what is his due punishment? The opinions of the jurists differed on these two issues, and I will clarify that difference and the textual and mental evidence on which each saying is based.
 
The research deals with two important issues, one of which is related to the faith of the abandoner of prayer or not. From here comes the need to consider these doctrines and the evidence of each of them and give preference to the more correct ones in accordance with the considered rules of weighting.
