الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على سيدنا محمد رسول الله وعلى آله وصحبه ومن والاه.
وبعد: فإن علم الخطابة يُوّضِّحُ لطلاب الدعوة - الذين لم يسبق لهم أن مارسوا التحدثَ، ولا إلقاء المحاضرة، ولا الخطابة - طرقَ التحضير وتهيئةِ الموضوع من جميع نواحيه، ويُعِدُّ لهم أرکان الخطابة وأسسها من جميع جوانبها، ويشبعها بحثًا ودرسًا وشواهد، حتى يستطيع أن يدلي بحجته، فيؤثر في الناس بتحريک المشاعر والسيطرة على القلوب، ويبين لهم الخطوات الموصلة إلى الارتجال في الخطابة، والبواعث التي تثير انتباه الجمهور إليه.
وبهذا:: فإن علم الخطابة ينير الطريق أمام من عنده استعداد للخطابة ليربي ملکاته، وينمي استعداداته، ويخلصه مما عنده من عيوب، ويرشده إلى طريق إصلاح نفسه؛ ليسير في الطريق ويسلک السبيل.
بعد هذه المقدمة الموجزة: نأتي إلى معنى الخطبة وأهدافها وغايتها وأنواعها، ثم نعرج بشيء من التفصيل عن خطبة الجمعة، التي تعد من أهم وسائل الدعوة والإرشاد في مجال نشر الأحکام الشرعية بين الناس، وتوعيتهم وترغيبهم بما يرضي الله عز وجل، ويقربهم من الجنة، وترهيبهم عن ما يغضب الله سبحانه وتعالى، وبما يبعدهم عن النار والعياذ بالله.
وطبقا لما تقتضيه طبيعة کتابتنا عن هذه المسألة: فإنها ستکون مقسمةً على أربعة مباحث:  
1 – المبحث الأول: الخطابة بمفهومها العام وأرکانها وشروطها وأنواعها مع نبذة مختصرة عن نشأتها.
2 – المبحث الثاني: خطبة الجمعة: شروطها وأرکانها وأهميتها وکيفية إعدادها.
3 – المبحث الثالث: الخطيب وصفاته.
4 – المبحث الرابع: نماذج من الخطب.

In this way: the science of rhetoric enlightens the way before those who have the readiness to speech to raise his property, and develop his preparations, and save him from the defects, and guide him to reform himself; to walk in the way and walk the way.
After this brief introduction: we come to the meaning of the sermon and its objectives and objectives and types, and then linger in some detail about the Friday sermon, which is one of the most important means of advocacy and guidance in the dissemination of legitimate provisions among the people, and awareness and encourage them to the satisfaction of God Almighty, About what angers God Almighty, and away from the fire and forbid God.
According to the nature of our writing on this issue, it will be divided into four sections:
1-The first topic: Public discourse in its general sense and its elements and conditions and types with a brief description of its inception.
2-The second topic: Friday sermon: the conditions and elements and importance and how to prepare.
3-The third topic: Khatib and his qualities.
4-The fourth topic: examples of speeches.
